HVABSA ALL-STAR POLICY
Coach Selection:
-
All-Star coaches (head coach and one assistant) will be selected based on applications that coaches will submit
prior to the end of Week 8 (5-11-2013 for the Spring 2013
season). Added weight will be given to current league standings and past record with HVABSA.
- Download All-Star Coach Application using the link on the right-hand side of this
page.
Player Selection: - Players are only eligible to be All Stars in the league they play in during the
regular HVASBA season.
- There will be open tryouts for each age-group's
team.
- The selected all-star coaches, along with their commissioner and one
other independent grader, will select 9 players from the pool of players.
-
The All Star coach will then fill in his roster with 2-4 "at large" selections.
- There will be one team for each of the following age groups, 7U, 8U, 9U, 10U, 12U and 14U.
- HVABSA All-Star Jerseys will be provided for tournament play, which the player will keep.
- Players will use their HVABSA provided hats from the spring season.
All-Star
Tournaments: - For 2013, the Flower Mound/Highland
Village All-Star Tournaments will be held June 14-16, 2013
at Unity Park and Bakersfield Park
- HVABSA will pay the entry fee for
the FM/HV All-Star tournament.
- The All-Star coaches may choose to play in
additional tournaments. If so, the parents would pay the entry fee.
- The Grapevine All Star Tournament will be held May 30 - June 2, 2013
- The Colleyville All Star Tournament will be held
- The Coppell All Star Tournament will be held June 7-9, 2013
- TCR All Star Tournament will be held June 28-30, 2013
