HVABSA Board Election
Toward the end of every Spring (May), the HVABSA league conducts our annual Board elections. These are open
elections, so anyone can run for a board position. To be placed on the ballot, a member must first be officially
nominated - this requires someone fill out a nomination ballot and have it signed by five supporters. Turn in
this nomination to the ballot box. The league secretary will then publish a voting ballot in late May which will
include the names of all nominees. The general membership will vote and the new board for 2008-2009 will
be announced.
We encourage parents with young children to participate in the running of our league. Many
of the current board members have older kids who are no longer participating in our rec program. To sustain
the league, we need parents with young kids and fresh ideas!
