WHAT DOES IT COST?
When comparing our fees to other leagues, please consider that our fees
INCLUDE a concession stand fee of either $10 (fall) or $15 (spring). We DO
NOT conduct individual fundraisers or require you volunteer in the concession stand. The fees collected are used to pay for the following:
-Game Costs
(Field Rental, Umpires, Player Insurance, Game Balls, Trophies, etc) -Equipment Costs (Team Bags) -Field and Park
Updates and Maintenance (we work closely with the city on these costs) -Administrative Costs -Concession Stand Workers -City User Fees
We do
ask every team to find one team sponsor ($200 for Blastball/$300 for T-Ball and up) in Spring to help cover the cost of uniforms.
Since fall ball is about development, we do not provide new uniforms for every player in fall. The league may also conduct
some additional fundraising events to raise cash for special projects (example - new fences, pitching tunnels, batting cage
lights, tarps, etc are all being considered.).
Please help where you can!

How Do I Register On-Line? | Step 1: Determine the Age Group
Your Child Will Play In - For baseball, determine your child’s
age as of May 1, 2012. This is the “league age” for baseball that should be used to determine
what age division to play in.
- For softball,
determine your child’s age as of Jan 1, 2012. This is the “league age”for softball
that should be used to determine what age division to play in.
- The league age determines what “league” they need to register in
- Example – If the "league age" is
12 then they would play 11/12 for baseball or 12U for softball. If it is 11, then they would still play 11/12
for baseball or 12U for softball.
- Baseball - Playing Up: For baseball,
the league age is set in order to automatically prompt older kids to play up to the next division. Players
should register for the division in which they feel most suited, but should understand that the commissioners have the final
say on who can play in which division - you will be contacted if the commissioners see a problem.
- Softball - Playing Up: For softball, the league age is
strictly by ASA rules which only looks at the age of the player on Jan 1 of each year - the parent needs to make the decision
whether it is in the player's best interest to play up to the next higher age division. Players should
register for the division in which they feel most suited, but should understand that the commissioners have the final say
on who can play in which division - you will be contacted if the commissioners see a problem.
- Don't worry if you register for the wrong division - we will adjust the leagues and verify each player when we
start forming the teams, You will be contacted if your child is registered in the wrong league. If you have questions,
contact a league commissioner before registering.

|
|
| Step 2: Gather the information you will need to register on-line – it is very
important that when you register that the information is complete and accurate: - Know the
age division your child wants to register for – sPortability calls each age division a “league”
- Basic Player information and parent contact information
- A primary e-mail you want the league
to use to contact you
- Your insurance carrier (even if it is provided through work)
- Your
child's doctor's name and telephone number
- Emergency contact information (contact person name
and telephone number)
- Credit card (American Express, MC, VISA, Discover or Diners
Club)
| Step 3: Log onto SportsPilot through our website (www.hvabsa.com)
Step 4: Understand the SportsPilot registration process - If you already have registered through SportsPilot and if you created an account,
you can use your user name and password to populate the fields with your previous data.
- After registering, you will receive and e-mail confirmation within minutes accepting your registration.
- Print out and keep a copy of the registration confirmation for your files. If you don’t
receive a confirmation, contact the SportsPilot help desk or contact the league registration director.
